Schema.org#

The catalogue implements a Schema.org metadata profile for all records. Schema.org is a structured format for describing data and carries useful fields for understanding and reusing data (see fields below). Schema.org was developed by Bing, Google, and Yahoo to create a structured data format for webpages, and the catalouge has implemented it in order for Google and POLDER Federated Search to effenciently crawl its metadata records. It is also used by the Oceanum Datamesh to index metadata records.
